One of the reasons mentioned by Pico Iyer is that we can
become young fools again. It means that in travelling we can enjoy our time and
forget who we are. In this way, we can relax ourselves. Another reason is that we
travel to take our values and beliefs to places where we travel. We are their eyes
and ears of people we meet. We are the only people they can see from the
outside of their world. In my experience, I have visited a countryside in
Heilongjiang Province in China. In my opinion, for people who live in there,
they can know much about the outside of the world from our behaviors and
communication to them. That can be the reason why I’ve visited there.
